Melbourne's got heart.
It's in the people, the culture, the music, the food, the shopping and atmosphere. Ever since arriving I haven't been bored. Ranking the second best city to live in, Melbourne is a heart that keeps beating. It has it all, I don't know if I will ever tire of going out to eat, shopping and hitting the beach. Over the weekend I've come to realize that taking each day as it comes is so important. Walking around the CBD, I got lost in St. Paul's Cathedral, Parliament and Fitzroy Gardens. On Saturday it was St. Kilda beach as I screened my eyes from the free birds tanning next to us. The evening was an Italian restaurant on Degraves with Ryan, Tollef, Kristina and Natalia. Highlighting the evening was Kristina's determination to wolf down a massive burger only to regret it after inhaling an additional chinese pastry earlier before. The good times kept rolling as late night Sunday offered an authentic Aussie BBQ with greasy sausages on flattened white bread plus a live band at friends of Jody's. After being sketched out by the closeness of the male dance moves we hit Carlton and had Calamari and Gelato. My kind of evening. My endless vacation is alive in well in Melbourne and I couldn't be more pleased to spend a semester in the country of long weekends. My school work beckons as I continually procrastinate. With so much happening, it becomes overwhelming, and that doesn't include my appetite. My studies are piling up, so it's time to bunker down!
Well, maybe.
