So we left early and spent three days getting through the south of Bolivia.
However getting through the border on the Chilean side was a nightmare had to wait in line for about 3 hours for an exit stamp. The entry stamp into Bolivia was much quicker, straight into Bolivia drove for about 45mins and then came to a shack and got our stamp.
Was divided into different groups and were put into 4wd's….sorted
Had a mad Bolivian driver that was racing through the itineries. Saw a lot of lagoons, different coloured from red to blue to green which were cool, but after a handful got a little boring, saw plenty of Flamingos as well all pink and strutting about looking for food.
Had a swim in a hot pool which was quite warm esp as the altitude we climbed was really high.
Spent a night in a shack with other Chileans and argentines that were really nice. Spent the night nearly at 5000m which seemed to be okay at first and then it hit me during the night, a really had headache and felt sick.
But as soon as we left I started feeling better but it was quite hard to deal with, feeling like you can't breathe properly.
Went and saw some geysers which were cool but the ones in New Zealand were better and a place with lots of stone everywhere which was pretty cool.
Spent a night in Uyuni and then the last day we headed to the salt lake which was amazing can't believe it used to be a lake.
Pure white and goes on for miles. Had a picnic right in the middle of the lake and then went to see an island that was full of cactus, and named the fish island as it apparently looks like a whale, I couldn't really see it myself.
